Rabbi Bio

Rabbi Holly Levin Cohn

Rabbi Holly Cohn, ordained from the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, is currently the Rabbi of Temple B’nai Israel in Albany, GA. She has her undergraduate degree in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. Her love for keeping up with trends of the Jewish community, determining needs and wants, as well as target marketing and reaching out to seekers comes from her advertising training and career. Recently, she earned a Masters of Arts in Jewish Communal Service and Nonprofit Management degree from Gratz College. She finds it compliments her rabbinate and strengthens her leadership ability.

Rabbi Cohn is the grandchild of Holocaust survivors and wrote her rabbinic thesis on intergenerational relationships between Holocaust survivors, their children and grandchildren which resulted in a professional 17 minute film: Communication and Healing: the Third Generation Speaks. All information regarding grandchildren of survivors was original research. Along with serving her congregation, she is also a transcriptionist of Holocaust testimony for the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum in Atlanta, GA.

Rabbi Cohn enjoys going to the gym, mah jongg, travel and the time she spends with her son Jacob.
